TCU Course Proposals Approved

A few months ago, we submitted a course proposal to TCU for the summer session and just heard back that it had been approved.  So, we are pleased to announce the extension of our ultra-low cost training solutions through TCU’s Extended Education Program.

SQL Server 2008 Database Administration will take you on a tour of SQL Server 2008.  This
course combines both the core training to get anyone not familiar with SQL Server up to speed as well as also covers the new features now available in SQL Server 2008.

Course registration  is at:

https://lifelong.is.tcu.edu/wconnect/CourseStatus.awp?~~SU081303A
for the 6/9 – 6/12 class offering

https://lifelong.is.tcu.edu/wconnect/CourseStatus.awp?~~SU081303B
for the 6/16 – 6/19 class offering

We are working on adding a 3rd section which will run from 6/14 – 6/28 on the weekend (Sat 9AM-6PM and Sun 1PM -5PM) for those who can’t get away during the week.  If the section gets added, you will find it on the TCU registration site.

Classes are scheduled for Monday – Thursday from 9AM – 6PM with a 1 hour break for lunch.  Cost of the course is $350 (three hundred fifty dollars) and there are no textbooks to buy.  Print outs of the slide decks will be provided.

Course material is based on almost 2 years of research and development on SQL Server 2008. Having just finished “The Rational Guide to SQL Server 2005 Security” which should be hitting shelves soon, Mike is the author of two forthcoming SQL Server 2008 books – “SQL Server 2008 Step by Step” from Microsoft Press and “The Rational Guide to SQL Server 2008 Security” by Rational Press as well as co-authoring the 70-432 SQL Server 2008 Training Kit for Microsoft Press.
